Check out below some of the details about each of our Open Water Diving spots:
Ammoudi shore reef
Minimum certification level:
Try Scuba Diver (TSD)
Maximum depth:
18 meters
Average visibility:
25+ meters
Group size:
Maximum of 8 divers.
Features:
Accessible by car and boat. Anchoring at 5 meters.
Comments:
This diving destination is one for all the family. Beach lovers amongst them can enjoy the glorious sand and sea whilst those who want to explore beneath the sea can try out our TSD level dive. Dive training can also be done in the confined water for beginners. Experienced divers can take a short surface swim to get closer to the reef, waiting to be explored. One highlight not to be missed is the dive through the natural chimney, where often the sea’s current will move you through the rock formations, and the camouflaged octopus is worth looking out for.
Cave Dive
Minimum certification level:
Advanced Open Water level
Other requirements:
pre-dive necessary
Maximum depth:
18.6 meters
Group size:
Maximum of 3 divers.
Features:
only accessible by boat, anchoring at 13 meters
Comments:
The cave is accessed through a tight entrance via a halocline effect. The crystal-clear sweet water of the cave is drinking water quality, having travelled from the white mountains of Crete, and also some 10 degrees colder than the seawater outside. Large stalagmites and stalactites greet you and you need to take care not to disturb sand on the cave floor. The silence and cold of the cave is unforgettable.

Comments:
If you’re on a budget we have a perfect dive for you, right on the doorstep of the dive centre – so no boat or car transfer is necessary. Follow a path we have created in the rocks behind the diving center to reach the sea easily on foot. The spot offers three different dives, with a variety of rock and sandy ground coupled with exceptionally transparent water conditions. To the south on the first dive option you reach the Ovelix Rock (a very big stand-alone rock) usually home to grouper. The second dive option lets you go out rapidly to a depth of over 30 meters. The third option allows you to dive along the coast to the west to experience rocky ground alive with small fish swarms. Those not wanting to dive always have the option of snorkeling in this area of the sea.
