TOUR DESCRIPTION

Jump on board and discover the best of the coastline close to Chania on a private 4-hour cruise built for swimming, snorkeling, and that “we found our own spot” feeling. You choose the boat type that fits your style (open, cabin, RIB, or luxury), and we take care of the rest—with snorkel gear and drinks included.
We depart from Chania Old Port and cruise toward the Rodopou peninsula and the protected island waters just offshore from Chania. This route is all about variety: remote coves, deep-blue swims, and crystal-clear snorkeling over rocky seabeds.

Menies (remote cove & ancient history)
Our first stop is often the hidden cove of Menies, located at the northeastern tip of the Rodopou peninsula. Historically, this was the port of the ancient site of Diktynna, home to one of Crete’s most important sanctuaries dedicated to Vritomartis (often associated with Artemis). Today, Menies feels wild and untouched—ideal for a first swim in clean, open water.

Limnionari (quiet waters & great visibility)
Next, we head to Limnionari, a calm, scenic stretch of coast known for its clear water and peaceful atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot to slow down, float, and snorkel—especially if you love spotting fish around the rocks and enjoying a more relaxed swim away from busy beaches.

Sfako (deep blue swims under dramatic coastline)
Then we continue to Sfako, one of those places that feels like a secret from the sea. Expect deep, clear blue water, rugged rock formations, and excellent conditions for a refreshing swim straight off the boat. This is a favourite stop for confident swimmers and anyone who loves that “open sea” feeling with a dramatic backdrop.

Thodorou Island (protected nature & iconic island scenery)
We finish with a swim stop near Thodorou Island, an uninhabited, protected island and a Natura 2000 area. It’s famous as a haven for the endangered wild Cretan goat, the agrími (kri-kri). The water here is often exceptionally clear, making it a beautiful place for snorkeling and photos, with a strong “Crete as it used to be” vibe.
On the way back to Chania, you’ll probably be debating which stop had the best water.
