TOUR DESCRIPTION

Departing from Kolymvari, we set off on an adventurous boat trip along Crete’s wild northwest coast, heading straight for the legendary Balos Lagoon at the edge of the Gramvousa Peninsula—the westernmost tip of the island. This spectacular coastline is part of the Natura 2000 protected area, and we explore it with a strict “leave no trace” mindset.

Expect vivid colors, rugged scenery, and plenty of time to swim in the crystal-clear waters of Balos and around Gramvousa Island before we push on to our next stop: Menies Beach.

Hidden on the northeastern side of the Rodopou Peninsula, Menies feels like a secret cove carved out of the cliffs—remote, untouched, and far from the crowds. It’s also a place where nature meets history, built on the site of ancient Diktynna, once home to an important sanctuary dedicated to Vritomartis, the Cretan goddess often linked to Artemis.

Our taxi boat services are available 24/7 all year round from our base in Sfakia. We can either take you to your destination or pick you up from your starting point offering you a punctual and reliable service. Our home port is the port of Chora Sfakion. This way we can serve amongst others, the ports of Loutro, Agia Roumeli, Sougia and Paleochora and of course all the beaches in between such as Glyka Nera (Sweet Water beach), Lykos, Phoenix, Marmara, Agios Pavlos, Tripiti and Lissos.
Depending on the number of people and/or luggage and of course the weather conditions, our boats can transfer from 1-2 people to groups of 40 or more.
Time flies when you're enjoying yourself on the south coast so if you accidentally miss the ferry, get in touch with us and we ́ll come and pick you up.
